St. Christopher's uses the Episcopal Curriculum for Youth for young people in grades 6-12, providing a liturgical frame for their experience in our modern culture. Our program celebrates their individuality and creative potential, and instructs them in the skills required for successful participation in church, community, and society. Our ministry is based on the concept that each individual has a vocation and responsibility in the church and in the world. We aim to encourage youth as leaders in the church, and to show them that they are valued and respected as full members of the body of Christ.
We will have two sections of Youth Group this year: - Middle School (grades 6-8), led by Blakely Burton and Zach Love - High School (grades 9-12), led by Michele Andrade and Justine Kakembo
The Middle School group will be starting with the "Witness in the World" unit, and the High Schoolers will begin with the "Peace and Justice" unit.
Both groups will meet EVERY Sunday at 9:15 a.m. All parents and youth are encouraged to partake in reminders through the Remind app. If you are not getting notifications through Remind, please give your/your teen's cell phone number to Jen.
Dates to remember: September 23 Pilgrims will share their Pilgrimage experience after all three services. October 21 Youth groups meet at Sky Zone in Elmhurst - pizza and jumping!
