Worship at St. Christopher’s

Worship
At St. Christopher's, we understand that service to others and fellowship with one another is central to spiritual growth. Service on Sunday mornings is only one aspect of the many ministries in which you may participate, for while Sunday is the day when the largest group of parishioners gathers together, the life and work of the parish continues throughout the week, individually or in small groups or committees. This work involves service to the church, service to the community and fellowship among parishioners.

SUNDAY WORSHIP SCHEDULE  September through early June.
8:00 am: Holy Eucharist, Rite I
A spoken service using the traditional-language version of the liturgy
9:30 am: Wiggle Worship, Rite III (scroll to the bottom for brochure)
A child-friendly celebration of the Eucharist (gather at 9:20 a.m.)
10:30 am: Choral Eucharist, Rite II
A choral celebration of the Eucharist

The church bell rings a call to worship at 10:25 a.m.
  • The church bell is from a Chicago Northwestern commuter train (before Metra became the local train service) and was placed in the cupola above the East Avenue door in 1978.
