Maundy Thursday – Triduum

Maundy Thursday – Triduum

Jesus gathered with his friends on Maundy Thursday (4/6 – 7:00PM) for a passover meal. He invited them and invites us to serve each other and to remember him in the breaking of the bread and the sharing of wine. Then, we pray with Jesus as in the garden as love is betrayed and he is sentenced to death for proclaiming peace and justice for all of God’s people. At St. Christopher’s, we gather in the Parish Hall for the breaking of bread and prayers, a simple soup meal, and we respond to Jesus’ call to serve by washing each other’s feet. Then we move into the Church to pray with Jesus. The service concludes with individual prayer and reflection in our Garden of Repose, set up in our Chapel.
