Our worship, our music, our Sunday School, our outreach, our staff, our buildings and every candle is made possible by the generosity of our church members, friends, and supporters. The people of St. Christopher’s are our service ministers and, working with the staff and vestry, are full stewards of the mission and ministry of our congregation. Steward is an ancient concept. A steward is a person who is responsible for someone else’s property, finances, or affairs.
Good Friday – Triduum
Good Friday (4/7) is the day the church recognizes Jesus crucifixion. As he was put to death, Jesus prayed for God’s people, saying, “Forgive them for they know not what they do.” Following Jesus’ example, the Church gathers and prays for the world as Jesus prayed for the world. At the Good Friday Service (4/7 – 7:00PM) we pray the Solemn Collects, venerate the cross, and receive Holy Communion from the Garden of Repose.
