Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany at St. Christopher’s, 2021-22


Christmas Eve – Friday, December 24th:
4:00 pm: Holy Eucharist, Rite II,
family-friendly
Celebrate the birth of Christ, the Light coming into the world.

10:30 pm: Choral Eucharist, Rite II
Candlelight service with full choir.

Christmas Day – Saturday, December 25th.

Feast of the Nativity of Our Lord

Sunday, January 9th: The Feast of the Epiphany (
What is it? Epiphany is sometimes known as “Three Kings Day”, commemorating the first manifestation of Jesus to the Gentiles, represented by the Magi, The day is celebrated 12 days after Christmas, on January 6 (or the Sunday closest to it).

St. C’s Epiphany pageant is an annual tradition we’re so excited to welcome it back. There are speaking roles and non-speaking roles. There will be rehearsals during Sunday School but kids can participate whether they attend all rehearsals or none!

Make an Advent Wreath & Spaghetti Supper To Go


I am truly excited to invite you to St .Christopher's Annual Advent Craft-to-Go with Advent Wreath making, Saturday, November 27, 3:30 - 5:30PM, in our Parish Hall. Stop by. Learn about and make and Advent Wreath with fresh greens, pick up your Advent Devotional, your crafts-to-go made for the season, and a spaghetti dinner lovingly prepared and packed ready to heat up by Paul Clark and Patricia Nied.

I am truly excited to share that Jen Enriquez and I will be on hand to help you make and prepare an Advent Wreath. Last Friday, she and I drove to Kenosha, Wisconsin to pick up the greens from Anton's Greenhousesneeded to make our Advent Wreaths. We may have had a brat or two from The Brat Stop.

Suggested donation for spaghetti and Advent crafts is $5 per family.***

If you can't make it Saturday for your spaghetti supper/crafts come to parish hall at 12PM on Sunday, November 28, to assemble an Advent wreath with Fr. Kevin and pick up your meal. ***You need to RSVP here for Sunday pickup.***.

Second Sunday of Advent – December 5th: St. Nicholas of Myra Visits
ONE SERVICE | 10AM for the commissioning of the Search Committee
The long dead bishop of Myra visits at 11:00 to gather gifts to give away to other kids and to confuse our kids about Santa Claus, St. Nick, and long dead bishops.

Fourth Sunday of Advent – December 19th, 5 pm: Festival of Advent Lessons & Carols
In this beautiful and ancient liturgy, the story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus is told through Bible readings, interspersed with carols, hymns, and an amazing repertoire sung by the St. Christopher’s Liturgical Choir. A festive reception will follow, so please bring food to share.
