St Christophers and the Episcopal Diocese
The Diocese of Chicago comprises 137 parishes and missions in the northern third of Illinois. The Diocese is divided into 11 deaneries. St. Christopher’s is in the Oak Park deanery, which has representation on the Diocesan Council and also provides a venue for clergy and lay people to meet for support and communication.
St. Christopher’s hosted the diocesan Leadership Program for Musicians Serving Small Congregations, which met at the church last year. St. Christopher’s is also a member of the Community of Congregations, an organization comprising churches and temples in Oak Park and neighboring River Forest.
